Metrodome Inline Marathon Date Change, Want Some Cats?, A Few Reports To Battle The Cold, Dealing With Burnout

Metrodome Inline Marathon Date Change: This one is all over the message boards, but it’s worth mentioning on my site that the date for the 2007 Metrodome Inline Marathon has been switched to April 21st.

Want Some Cats?: In 4 weeks or so, Sigrid Ziegler and Andrew Hegarty will be heading to Europe to race with the world’s best skaters on the World Inline Cup circuit. In her latest entry called The Countdown is on, Sigrid Ziegler explains some of the challenges of her upcoming adventure including having to fit all her belongings into 2 suitcases- but there is one very important detail for her to take care of; she needs someone to adopt her kitty cats! See the cats (Rafiki and Simba) here.

A Few Reports To Battle The Cold: The other day at indoor practice, Morgan Williams showed me a whole bunch of pictures that he took at the Great EsSkate. The pictures included some from a trip Morgan and some friends went on in a marsh. If you’d like to read more about the Great EsSkate, there is a Great EsSkate report on Roadskater.net.

You can catch up on the Torneo Internacional Terras do Infante action which is taking place this weekend.

This is a timely article on the Inline Planet: Don't Let the Winter Slow You Down!. Just in case you’re looking for other ways to battle the cold, then there is another way; skate indoors. Some people are skating indoors where it is cold and even where it is warm! There has been some indoor racing action that took place recently- click here for the Blue Ridge Challenge Results.

More ways for you to battle the cold is to head down to a place, say, like Argentina. You can find a Mar del Patin Marathon report on the PS Matter Family Blog. For a whole bunch of Mar Del Patin reporting, click here on MDQPatin.

One more strategy you can use with the cold is to embrace it, just like Andrew Love is doing. Apart from Andrew Love being excited about the upcoming world single distance championships (ice long track) coming to Salt Lake City in about a month (see The world is coming), Andrew reported on a recent competition: Awesome Power & BP's.

Dealing With Burnout: Skatey-Mark asks some questions about burnout in b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-burnout.
