Inline Industry Election, Let’s Go Colombia, World Cup Calendar At Last, Other News

Inline Industry Election: The Inline Industry Group’s election was completed this past Wednesday. There was some interesting data that came from the election; 48 people agreed with and voted, 6 disagreed but voted, and 7 disagreed with and did not vote. 56 others did not vote but 21 of them did view the invitation. The newly elected board includes Gene Cook, Kathy McSparran, Kris Simeone Fondran, Nick Skally, and Robert Kaskel.

Let’s Go Colombia: The headline on PatinCarrera reads ‘Joey Mantia se sube a lo mas alto al vencer en los 1000 M en el cierre de la pista’. I think it means that Joey Mantia won the 1000-meter race at the Bolivar 150 Anos Pre-World Competition in Catagena, Colombia. For results, click here. For an update from Paul DiJulio posted on the Inline Planet’s Forum, click here.

The 2007 World Championships set to take place in Cali, Colombia, are picking up some steam; if you’d like to preview what the track looks like, then click here. Looks like France will arrive in Cali on August 5th.

The track in Cali is set to be completed by April- it looks a lot like the facility that was used last year in Korea

World Cup Calendar At Last: The World Inline Cup website is finally updated with the 2007 schedule! Geez; It’s about time because I need to plan when I am going to read the message boards for all the results!

Other News: The Inline Planet is reporting that Rollerblade is targeting runners as a source of potential athletes. Ice is targeting inline skaters and inline skating is targeting ice skaters too. Speaking of ice & inline, SpeedSK8rs.com has an article called Transition: inline to ice (and back).
