New Logo, Photos From Scooter’s, RSO Speed Points Series News, Videos, News In Spanish, MISC Stuff
New SSW Logo: Here is the new Speed Skate World logo. It took me quite a bit of trial and error and some luck to finish it. I hope you like it.
The all new Speed Skate World logo! Looks hot eh?
Photos From Scooter’s: Here are a few pictures from last night’s Scooter’s Indoor Speed Club practice. There’s no photos of the top group skaters in action since I couldn’t take pictures because I was skating in that group during the relays.

Eric Maas pushing Sarah Hopkins while Morgan Williams and Jacky Schu trail behind
Jackie Schu pushing Ed Leung while Rachel Hing pushes Kevin Noh
Bruce Desmond pushes Sigrid Ziegler
This is what a dead Jesse Pauley looks like; the relay pyramid was tough and fast- the 5 laps (plus one floater) knocked this top-15 world junior marathon finisher's legs quite hard
I am really starting to like these panoramic shots- but there's a lot room for improvement
Here are some photos from Patinaje De Velocidad from the Campeonato Delegacional 2006 Pista. Looks like a whole lot of fun!
RSO Speed Points Series News: The next RSO Indoor Speed Series race will take place on February 25th instead of the 18th. The March race is now set to take place at the Scooter’s Roller Palace. The overall standings after 2 stages have been put online.
Videos: I was browsing through the Patinaje De Velocidad website and noticed that in their video section, they linked up to a bunch of good videos including the ones I made of the 2006 world championships.
News In Spanish: According to the Confederacion Panamericana of Roller Sports, construction has started on the banked track that will be used for the upcoming world championships in Cali, Colombia. I plan on being there and competing well. Maybe they could build one of those tracks in Mississauga?
February 11th is the day that the Circuito de las Américas de Maratones will open up its 2007 season with the big race in Cartagena, Colombia at the pre-worlds Bolívar 150 años.
According to PatinCarrera, Catherine Penan, the superstar Chilean skater, will skate for Rollerblade for the 2007 season. While I am on the Catherine Penan topic, I cannot stress HOW many male skaters are gaga over her! It almost seems like all the guys at worlds last year thought highly not only of her awesome skating ability, but of her looks too. I know how she feels because the hard part about being a stallion like me is having to fend off the constant mobs of girls.

I know this one’s not in Spanish, but it’s also not in English: It’s a report on the Inline On Fire race. I could only assume that ‘Rangliste’ means results, ‘Manner’ means men, and ‘Frauen’ means women. Here is the Spanish version: Patin Carrera's IOF report.
MISC Stuff: Time killers- I wasted about 10 minutes on these sites last night- Who Are These Guys and Choose My Name. How exciting is the web, eh?
