Las Vegas City Of Sports, So Long SEB Skates, Canadian News, International News, Ice Ping Pong

Las Vegas City Of Sports: Every time I report that a new track is being built, I made a comment to the effect of ‘they should build one in Mississauga’. This time, I really mean it; they have to build one of these 9 billion dollar facilities in Mississauga! Ok, now all I’m going to say is this: check out the Las Vegas City Of Sports website, read the Inline Planet’s article Inline Skating’s ‘Field of Dreams’?, and then respond in this thread a disgrace or a progress on Bont’s Message Board.

Imagine this complex with a veldrome, inline skating races, top level skaters living, racing, and teaching there...

So Long SEB Skates: I was chatting with super skater sprinter Brian Jalbert the other day on MSN and he told me he was worried about not getting new inline boots. I asked him what he meant since I was under the impression that he was getting some made through SEB Skates. He told me that SEB Skates, a Candian boot maker based in Montreal, is no longer making boots. I checked the SEB Skates website and it's true; there is a message in french indicating that ending SEB Skates was a really hard decision.

Canadian News: This one goes out to all of us stuck in the snow; Where’s Aaron Arndt and what is he up to? He’s in Florida and he wrote a little bit about his adventure (scroll down to the 7th post in the thread Pancho).

Let's continue on with something about the Canadian championships. Some information about the senior and junior world class divisions is leaking out: visit Canadian News and you'll find a post indicating the following: 'The RSC "blended programme" is being revised. In the Senior/Junior division you will most likely see this year: 200TT, 500, 1000, 10km Points and 20km Elim'.

International News: We can now welcome the PS-MATTER family blog to the reich list of internet resources that are available to us internet junkies. Earlier today, I was chatting with Frenchman Yann Guyader today and he shared the site with me. He keeps the site up to date, and he’s stoked about keeping the website current. You can already view some juicy pictures like the one below.

A whole bunch of fast skaters in Cartagena- while they were basking in the sun, many of us were stuck in the minus billion Celsius temperaters- this photo is from PS-MATTER family blog

I took this picture and I am putting it here to show you Yann Guyader in action- in the white, blue, and red colours of France, waiting for the relay push at the 2006 world championships

Watch out because he’s a party animal- here is Yann Guyader (right) and I (left). I have no idea who the girl in the pink shirt is

The news keeps flowing out of Bont's Message Board (2007 World Cup Skaters?!)for the upcoming World Inline Cup season. The most recent news indicates that Silvina Posadda and Mellissa Bonnet will skate with the Powerslide World Inline Center Team.

Ice Ping Pong: This looks like a whole lot of fun. Perhaps a new cross training exercise for us frozen souls from the deep-frozen north? This video is from Rowbike. Click here to play or press play below.

Ice ping-pong, yeah! I used to play ping-pong on roller blades in my company cafeteria, and using my weak hand, just to get on my oponents' nerves. Any way, they still lose:-)
