Long Track World Cup- Men's 5k WR: The men's 5km mark was set on the 2nd day of racing action in the ISU long track world cup #2 in Calgary. Sven Kramer (Netherlands) downed the 5km world mark to 6:03.32, ahead of Italy's Enrico Fabris who also skated under the old record time of 6.07.40 which was held by Fabris- see the 5km results. A former member of the Golden Gate Park Skate Patrol, Greg Levien had earned the reputation of being among the top inline skaters on a national level...Greg also won the overall championships in the Kryptonics California Championship Series two years in a row (1990, 1991) scoring over 450 points in 1991 in sprint racing, distance racing, high jump, long jump, and downhill slalom...
