Salt Lake City LT World Cup Day 1- Records: Let the long track records fall! Yesterday, Canada's Jeremy Wotherspoon set the men's 500-meter world records in a time of 34.03 in Salt Lake City at this season's first world cup [see the 500-meter results]. The video interview that got my attention is the one with Erben Wennemars after he equalled the 1500-meter world record 1:42.32- I don't know what he was saying, but he got quite choked up- see the 1500-meter results.
