Garvin's European News, Growing Champions, More A2A Pics, Bont Cup- China, Rollerblade '07 Overview, Ice- Hammer & Conematic, 110mm Wheels, Dry Land

Garvin's European News: Let's kick off today's update with news coming from Europe;

Roller En Ligne has an interesting interview (in French) with Jean-Stéphane Sierra- skater and bootmaker.

Ottawa's Mike Garvin recently traveled to Europe for a racing adventure- he shared his experiences from the Koln Sportcheck InlineMarathon. Click here for the results. You can also view this video and this video as well- I like the part when the skaters have to go around the hand-bikes! Super good photographer Sebastian Baumgartner has put his pictures online.

Mike Garvin also skated the Berlin Marathon- click here for his report. You can check out a video as well.

Mike Garvin shared some of his pictures from Europe for the skate and travel enthusiats- here are a few albums; here (London), here (London part 2), and here (Koln).

Growing Champions: I've been reading this thread; Ideas to Grow Future Champions- it's got some good ideas and has potential to keep going.

More A2A Pics: The latest set of Athens to Atlanta photos come from Herb Gayle- check 'em out.

Bont Cup- China: Check out what Alex Bont posted about the Bont Cup in China.

Rollerblade '07 Overview: Team Rollerblade has posted a 2007 season review on their website- see 2007 season overview.

Ice- Hammer & Conematic: Let's being today's ice news with a nice post from Andrew Love; it's called Hammertime Crunch.

Next up, let's get the Conematic results linked up. You can find some commentary on the 500's, the 1000's, 1500's, and finally the super 1500's and the final rankings.

1000-meter winners- 1st Rémi Beaulieu (Canada), 2nd Zhigiang Zhang (China), and 3rd Michael Gilday (Canada)

110mm Wheels: The Inline Planet has published an article called 110mm Wheels OK'd. I used 110mm wheels in the New York 100k, and I think they sucked going up hill. I didn't use them in Athens to Atlanta. They seem to be pretty darn fast in flat lines.

Dry Land: I started my weight program earlier today for the 2008 season. I've got a few decisions to make about what next year will look like, but I expect my main goals to revolve around the world championships taking place in Spain. I'd also like to place really well in a few key races like the New York 100k and or A2A. There are a lot of training tools that I am looking at. If you're looking for some information, message boards are filled with good advice- here's an example of what you can find; Dry land drills.
