Please Add In Your Comments Re WIC: Now that the curtain has set on this year's World Inline Cup, the thread 2007 World Cup Skaters!? has turned into a look-back at this past season. Aaron Arndt talked about this one the other night that Ben1 mentions; 'most dangerous corner - the 90 degree lefty in biel which is 4 metres wide, that immediately follows a sharp right with 3 surface changes and a giant plate glass window on on the outside. luckily for all involved this year the plate glass window was covered with scaffolding, which also reduced the width by another metre (tongue firmly planted in cheek). just pips the downhill left in mainz, only because if you didn't make that corner you would still actually survive. which in turn just pips the last corner in zurich'.
Andrew Hegarty's 2nd Biel Video: Andrew Hergarty posted a 2nd video from the Biel WIC, this one of the women's race.
A Couple Of More Blogs: This blog from New Zealand's world champion Scott Alridge hasn't been updated since 2006, but it's still worth a read.
Sigrid Ziegler posted an interesting post called Workfriendly?. It's funny how she talks about all the stuff she got rid of, and then how much stuff she has accumulated since her arrival in Europe earlier this year.
There's also a really strange link called workFRIENDLY in her entry which transforms web pages into word documents! I like the concept because all of my SpeedSkateWorld fans can now view my website at work while pretending to do work!
Skate Mexico 2008: Click here for information on the Mexicanidad Chiapaneca which is set to take place in Tuxtla Gutierrez from March 24th to March 28th next year. This is cool; 'Foreign registrants receive free food and accommodation at the athlete’s village situated adjacent to the track'.
Scooter's Indoor Video: How exciting indoors is eh? Here's a video from indoor skating from last December in Mississauga at the Scooter's Indoor Speed Club- wait for it, wait for it...I think the best part is right at the end when good 'ol Andrew Hegarty blocks everyone and I fall after he clicks skates with me. It felt like we were going much faster! You can also hear some of the wheels 'barking' as they slide out.
