24 Hours Montreal- The Fever Begins: It's a glorious day in Montreal- and it's picture perfect for the 24 Hours Inline Montreal to begin. One of the gems of of the inline skating scene is kicking off in a few hours and I am glad that I will be there to be part of and share the action with you!
This morning, a few of us headed to Montreal's scenic old port and were featured in a radio Canada live television piece about the 24 hours and a plug for the world/ pan american games team.

I love the spotlight!
I went back to sleep after the television feauture and woke up a few minutes ago- Steve Robillard was calling me asking me to skate on his relay team. His team is pretty darn strong and includes Olivier Jean, Herb Gayle, Mathieu Giroux, short track super starts Maxime Chantignier (France), Jeff Schoelten, and I think Francois Louis Tremblay.
This team is couter-balance by a team from Ottawa- sponsore by Il Peloton which includes Morgan Williams, Camilo Echeverri, Sergio Almeralla, Jesse Pauley, Stephane Tremblay, JF Messier, Dennis Humphreys, and Mister Pauley. Oliver Martinez is supposed to be on that team, but the rumours circulating is that he and Marcia Woodfield were involved in a car crash after hitting an already dead deer- they are supposedly ok though.
There is also some talk about teams coming over from Europe, and people are unsure about how strong they are.
I will be spending the day at the 24 hour relay- I am doing a few training sessions, taking photos, and raising money for the world and pan american games team. I am pretty sure that I will be posting some 24 Hours Montreal Inline pictures for you later tonight.
