Matzger’s RoadShow, Coupe Quebec Roller, Il Peleton, Let’s Go European With Switzerland and Italy
Matzger’s RoadShow: Let’s begin today’s news with Eddy Matzger. You can find his SkateFarm and Roadshow schedule here. For my fellow Canadians, your chance to see him and experience him on home soil is June 22-24 in Ottawa.
Coupe Quebec Roller: To get you into Canadian mood of things, you’ll find the Coupe Quebec Roller has released its dates for the 2007 series. The series is looking for support from skaters from Toronto and from the eastern United States to be successful. There are good chances you’ll see the likes of Steve Robillard competing in the series.
Il Peleton: Keeping things ‘a-la-Canadienne’, Il Peleton is a company that aims at dealing hard to get equipment and high tech sports accessories. Il Peleton is based out of Ottawa and includes the likes of Sergio Almeralla, Stephane Tremblay, and Ursula Hendel. Look for Il Peleton to field a skating in 2007.

Let’s Go European With Switzerland and Italy: First off on our European tour are videos from Swiss indoor racing that were linked on Bont’s Message Board. The videos are posted on YouTube. The skaters are racing on a tiny indoor gym floor which looks smaller than 100-meters to me. No straight away pushes for these skaters (view one of the videos below or click play). Also, here's some photos of the racing action: photos 1 and photos 2.
Now off to Italy we go; Cristiano, the Italian Inline Lover, posted a few of pictures of Italian team skaters (Luca Saggiorato, Luca Presti, and Cinzia Ponzetti) skating on the ice.
