A Little Bit Of Ice Stuff, Sadness In The Skating World, PC Vane?

A Little Bit Of Ice Stuff: The Canadian Single Distances Speed Skating Championships took place before the start of the new year. Check out the results. It's nice to see that Own The Podium athletes Jordan Belchos, Andrew Godbout, and Meaghan Buisson are in the mix. Andrew Love decided to post some recent ice pictures. It’s always nice to browse through his photos. Thanks Andrew!

Sadness In The Skating World: John Fry Junior shared the news of the passing of the passing of Leon Francis Goodchild. I didn’t know him, but I found that there is some notable history in the post. It goes without saying that any loss of our great skating family is always a great loss.

PC Vane? It seems that PC Vane came and went this year. The PC-Vane wheel didn’t make a big splash in North America in 2006 despite some good reviews. My K2/ Empire team-mate Francisco Ramirez went on and on about how he loved the wheels. In fact, he used them in Duluth and at A2A. You can read up on what’s going on.
