A Few Pictures Of Mine, Kevin And Sebastian The Dancers, Haritchelhar Hurt

A Few Pictures Of Mine: I spent much of the winter holidays in Thunder Bay and in Quebec with family and friends. One of my travels took me to Prince Edward Island, an island province in the Canada's east. Here's a few pictures-

I thought this fence looked really nice

Kevin And Sebastian The Dancers: So you thought you knew Kevin Smith? You thought you knew his son Sebastian? I thought I did. Then Kevin sent me this video (see below and click to play). The story behind the video is as follows: 'we just got back from a cruise in the south Caribbean for 2 weeks over Christmas with my family. We had a great time as one might expect, but the undisputed highlight of the trip was when, on a total last minute lark of a notion, at the request of 6 year old Sebastian, and the cajoling of the rest of the family (there were 9 of us there), I agreed to partner up with Seb, and audition for the "passenger" talent show. Seb had gone "dance crazy" over the preceding week, wanting to go up to the disco every spare moment, and he was very keen to put on a show. Well...neither of us knew what we were in for. We got through the audition haphazardly, and secured one of the 10 or so spots for the show, and before we knew it, it was showtime that night. Wouldn't you know it...a nearly full capacity crowd in the 700+ seat Broadway theatre aboard the MSC Lirica cruise liner! Aaaahhhh!!! Needless to say neither my son, who'd only started "fiddling around" with dancing over the past few months, nor I who'd given up dancing about 15 years ago (save for the odd 5 minute indulgence at weddings about once a year) were prepared to face such an audience. What they %#$# were we doing up there? Oh well, too late to turn back now! We positive self-talked each other into a state of edgy optimism, and when our name was called, we went for it. Given that we had NO pre-arranged choreography and only 10 minutes of practice, I'm told we didn't do too badly--and most importantly, Seb had a blast--I was sooo proud of him! (we even got one of only two standing O's!)'.

How awesome is that? Way to go guys! You were amazing!

Haritchelhar Hurt: According to a few reports (Bont Message Board and PatinArgentino (in Spanish)) Argentina's Andrea Haritchelhar was recently hit by a car and suffered serious arm injuries. Andrea Haritchelhar has been a top-finisher in the World Inline Cup, placing 4th overall in the 2006 final standings.

Andrea Haritchelhar (2nd) at the 2004 World Championships in Italy- she finished 7th in this race (20km elimination)
