Speed Rules, Toronto Roadskate, Who Is This?, Blake's A2A Report

Speed Rules: Make sure you follow those rule! USA Roller Sports has posted the 2007-2008 speed rule along with other important rule information- click here for more. While you're at it, you can write your thoughts about USARS...Let's Talk About What They Are Doing Right.

Toronto Roadskate: Do you live in the Toronto area and are you interested in a roadskate with this year's A2A champion Aaron Arndt? Click here for a post by Aaron- 'With the weather turning colder, the pavement holding more and more moisture, and indoors around the corner; time for a real roadskate in decent weather this season is running out.

What I refer to as a 'roadskate' is normally a long group skate accompanied by a few bikes; on unclosed roads, with good climbs and descents, in a non-competitive, co-operative, 'stay together' / re-gathering (type) style, usually followed by lots of food and liquids. Several distance options are possible with meeting points along the way, where drinks will be waiting...If you aren't sure about skating it, BRING YOUR BIKE!!! There is no shame, and EVERYONE is welcome on their bike. There will likely be as many bikes as skaters, and is still good/fun...
'. I went out trainig with Aaron and Morgane Echardour last weekend, and I've got to say that the roads where Aaron is planning the roadskate are amazing.

The Toronto Inline Skating Club at the Ottawa Skating Festival; some of these people will take part in the roadskate

Who Is This?: He's an 81 year old man, from Bologna, Italy- see the profile- heheheheheh.

In all seriousness; Pier Davide Romani has been working very hard at creating a website called Hard Skater- he's got a lot of ideas and concepts that have to do with the site.

Blake's A2A Report: How about this one for a very detailed report from Blake Lambert- Athens to Atlanta Roadskate A2A 2007 Inline Skate Report (Sunday). And just in case you missed his photos, here they are. You might also be interested in checking out this A2A map.
