REL Training, Colombian News, Canadian ST News, Ice Marathon News, Aaron's Blog Is Alive!, Wheels, World Cup & NZ

REL Training: Roller En Ligne has a couple of articles about training that might interest you - see Fractionné- à quoi ça sert- Comment ça marche and Les filières énergétiques- base de l'entraînement.

Colombian News: Here is a day 1 report with results and day 2 report with results (in Spanish) from national Colombia interleague championship.

Canadian ST News: Patinage Vitesse Courte Piste is reporting that Anouk Lebanc-Boucher is back in training 3 months after giving birth to her first child William-David English.

I love this article- Nouveau départ pour Robillard- it talks about Steve Robillard who recently finished 2nd in Canada's team trials and his 'new' approach going into the short track world cup races and the world short track championships.

Steve Robillard at the June '07 Quebec Cup- in 2006 he finished 2nd in the New York 100k, he won the 2007 St Paul Inline Marathon, and he recently finished 2nd in the Canadian short track team trials- this top-5 world roller junior champ & former ST world record holder has done it all!

Ice Marathon News: How about this for roller speed skaters taking on the ice world; 'Inliners competing: Cedric Michaud, Tristan Loy, Alain Gloor, Shane Dobbin, Arjan Smit, Ingmar Berga, Pieter-Jan van Eck (silver medallist WC 2006 junior boys), Karlo Timmerman, Jan van Loon, Geert Plender, Sjoerd Huisman, Roy Boeve. B-level: Ronan Sanchez'; click here for more.

IMO, Skate Podium is *the* site to go to for all ice marathon news (and more). You don't believe me? Well the proof is in the pudding- with daily updates and news items, the site is gathering more and more steam. Hold on because it's a wild ride! The site has different marathon team profiles, including Team TNT Express and Nefit. What's really cool is that some of the team profiles have videos- see Team Page for Power-Play.nl- interviews, ice skating, training- lots of good stuff to spend your time watching!

I'll finish off this 'section' with a link to an entry from Andrew Love; see Speedskaters International –Sweden.

Aaron's Blog Is Alive!: After coming back home from his racing adventures in Europe in the World Inline Cup, Aaron Arndt's blog has show signs of life with To alleviate trepidation.... I quote Aaron; 'Oh yeah, and hey: I won A2A!! 2A wins A2A!! or something like that. It should be the title of my next (first) real post'.

Wheels: Here's one from the Inline Planet; Taking Clues from Wheel Wear.

World Cup & NZ: Here's an article about a few fast New Zealand skaters; Star skate pro sets up world-class team . Aaron Arndt shared with me lots and lots of stories from Europe. While in Europe, he lived with all three of these skaters and he had only good things to say about them. I heard about who was the best cook, who was an animal on the bike, challenges with limited km's for use of a car.

I reckon as they plan their 2008 World Inline Cup season, they'll have to consider things that are being said in World Cup Topics for 2008 - Bill Begg recently wrote 'At present the possibilty of another WIC event in China, only 1 hour by boat from Hong Kong, the possibilities of staging this event, are currently being conducted.'.
