From Cali- Entry #14
From Cali- Entry #14: Good morning from Cali. My video from last night uploaded overnight- it inlcludes the 15km elimination races; post fall action from the junior women, ample shots of the junior men, the finish & Korean celebration of the senior men, and then the junior women's 1000-meter final. I threw in a few extra videos; 300-meter time trials of 5 of the top-6 senior men. Enjoy the video- click here or press play below (thanks to Jesse Pauley for grabbing my camera and filming all sorts of stuff and taking pictures as well)-
Here are a few links that you'll enjoy checking out; it looks like PatinCarrera's live worlds site is alive and kicking again. Photos- MundoPatin's 1000-meter heats & semi finals photos and MundoPatin's 15km elimination & 1000-meter finals photos. Make sure you surf around the Inline Planet because Robert Burnson is putting up some articles on worlds, the latest being Korea, Mantia on Fire!. SkatePodium has been providing some worlds coverage as well- you can surf around to dig up the articles. You cand find some worlds coverage and podium photos (I have none so far) on De Groen-Geile Duivel. To explore and find more, make sure you use the links on the right site. The last one I'll leave you with an a shortcut to the results from the track racing- click here for the track results.
The team is off to the track in about 1-hour. We've got breakfast soon. Breakfast at our hostel is fantastic. The ladies make it whenever we get up, be it at 5am or 12pm. It's usually deliciously scrambled eggs, arepas (sort of like pancakes), juice, hot chocolate, and fruits. Good stuff for champion athletes!
