Rennes WIC Live Coverage: Good morning! Looks like many of us got up bright and early this morning to watch the Rennes WIC live video coverage. I am really glad that I did because even though the video is jumpy (for me), it still kind of works and I have caught some action. As I write this, the women's race is under way- they have 3 laps to go. The weather conditions are rainy and windy- exciting eh!?

9:55am (EST)- The men's race is about to start- I am looking at the video and the trees are shaking like there's no tomorrow- the wind looks b-r-u-t-a-l. I saw Pier Davide Romani skate by a few minutes ago- can't wait to watch this one!

10:05am (EST)- The men are on the start line! There's a lot of them and there are all sorts of referees, media people, officials walking around in front of the start line. There is loud music, the announcer is shouting really really loud! I WISH I WAS THERE! I can't wait to read Aaron Arndt's blog/ race report (I think he will convey the excitement and the race really well)!!! I am going crazy! I NEED TO BE THERE...The video is coming in loud and clear...NOOOO it just stopped!! ARGH!! START THE VIDEO START THE VIDEO! Whoever disconnected the internet, plug it back in! Maybe you were walking and you tripped on a wire and unplugged something, please plug it back in...please

10:10am(EST)- Ok, I didn't see the start because the video wouldn't work. But now that everyone's gone and there's no skaters on the finish line, the video works perfectly. I can see a referee standing there. Ahh, the pack went flying by! It's big! Wow, another camera view- the group is massive!!

10:30am (EST)- Looks like the rain is coming down- there's now like 8 packs- skaters all over the place- Someone will probably get pissed off at me for doing this, but here's a video of the video- click here to view or press play- this is the men coming through the start/ finish area for the 2nd time and mid-way through the race-


11:45am (EST)- The Rennes WIC race is now over- good stuff! I am really glad the video worked :) I hope you had the chance to check out Team Rollerblade's Live Report- it's jam-packed with race commentary!
