Basel WIC Live Reporting, Love's Inspirations, Own The Podium Spring 2007 Update
Basel WIC Live Reporting: I am currently at the CITC with Brian Jalbert, Morgane Echardour, Gabriel Girard, and Youri Juteau- we are preparing for the Pan American Game trials that are taking place in 2 weeks- it's a beautiful day and I'm now done my skate. The others are out on the track right now doing relays.
Alex Perrie has been going back and forth from the track to his computer all day checking the internet for results from Basel. You might have been checking the net as much as Alex. I think you and he will be pleased to find that I found some results and linked to them (see Basel Live Report from Team Rollerblade).
As I write this, I can see Alex on the side of the track right now watching the skaters. He'll find the results linked on my site when he loads up the internet. I wonder how Basel went for the Canadian skaters.

Women's Team Time Trial Results

Love's Inspirations: I really like what Andrew Love writes in his latest post called Thanks: 'In so many ways, modern society has an awful habit of disconnecting people from each other in myriad ways.
Maybe that’s why speedskating lures so many of us into "irrational devotion". The sport itself is certainly a liberating sensation of flight, but the community of skaters is what keeps us hooked.'.
Own The Podium Spring 2007 Update: Click here to read the OTP Spring 2007 Update. It's important to me because it features a recruitment success story on Jordan Belchos (see page 5)- it says 'Jordan Belchos, Long Track Speed Skating- A former inline skater, Jordan finished 4th at the Junior World Championships after one year of competition.'. Good stuff, I hope to keep reading more success stories from the OTP athletes.
FYI- Jordan Belchos has been named to Canada's long track development- click here to read more about the 2007-2008 Canadian National Long Track Team from Speed Skating Canada.
