Apex Boots- Current & Next Boots: I recently had my Apex boots re-covered with a funky all-black material. I usually don’t give a name to my things like my car or my body parts, but I am considering naming my boots- perhaps a name like the stealth or the phantom or the black magic would suit them. I’ve been out skating on them a few times and they feel perfect. I was out training at the track (Christ The King) yesterday and took the picture below.
I think that somehow, this picture sums up my training, my discipline, my sacrifice, and more importantly, the people who are in my corner working with me- those who are not in the spot-light or in the forefront. Also, you can see my new boots in the lower right.
Maarten Slembrouck’s Blog has an entry called Apex boots - My next boots. Looks like they’re continuing to be a hit both on ice and on rollers.
Andrew’s Basel Report: Andrew Hegarty posted an honest post about his experience at the Basel WIC. Click Basel. Etc. for more. Andrew is brutally honest and introspective in this post. At the end of his post, Andrew writes ‘It’s most important that I am happy with my races and that I can look in the mirror at the end of the summer and say that I really took advantage of this amazing oppertunity. I don’t want anyone else saying that I didn’t and I don’t intend to give them the chance’.
Two Worlds Tracks: Click here for an update on the building of the track that will be used for the 2008 world championships in Gijon, Spain.

While the construction is ongoing for the track for the 2008 world championships, progress is being made with the building of the 2007 worlds track in Cali, Colombia. Click here for an update which includes a whole bunch of specs and information about the venue.

Rollerblade’s Newspaper: Pretty cool stuff is the Rollerblade Newspaper. I’m impressed with the fact that they’ve managed to fill it all up with Rollerblade stuff. Click here for the May edition.
Patin Carrera Reports: Patin Carrera has posted two reports; the first is on the Italian Inline Powerslide Cup and the seconds is on the Nestle Life Inline Tour from the Czech Republic.
Pictures From HdB & PS: Click here for a set of pictures from Heerde vd Wiel Baan Jeugd thanks to Harm de Boer Fotografie.

I just thought it would be cool to put this picture of a few of the Powerslide-Phuzion guys at the Basel WIC posted on Powerslide (you can see more photos of the Basel WIC by clicking on this link).

Bill's Hall: This is a pretty cool thread to read on Bont's Message Board; Bill's Hall of Fame. The thread includes a rich history of special events. It is really cool to see Aaron Arndt mentionned in the thread; Ben1 writes 'this one is slightly more obscure. but does anyone have any footage of the banked track heats in colombia 96 (junior worlds) when duggento biffed a canadian skater (could it have been A R Arndt) over the barrier for having the cheek to actually attempt to pass him!'. Hahaha, I remember Aaron Arndt telling me about this one; oh man, you gotta hear it from him.
