Links, Getting Lost, How About Those Vaypor, Colombia Nationals

Links: Let’s start the St-Paddy’s entry with a few links for you: The redesigned Toronto Inline Skating Club site, Bayskaters, and Skate City Speed Team.

Getting Lost: I hate getting lost while I am skating. I think that the worst possible race/ time to get lost is somewhere during Athens to Atlanta’s 140 some-odd km’s. Jacky Shu recently got lost on a road skate at Aaron Arndt’s house. Of 3 A2A’s that I’ve skated, I’ve gotten lost twice. Getting lost during A2A is not only demoralizing, but it’s terrible on the back. Thankfully, the Inline Planet’s latest skate tip is Banishing Back Pain. Speaking of back pain, Andrew Love’s most recent entry World Championships Day 3 (LT ice), he talks a little about Eskil Ervik back pain during the 10k.

How About Those Vaypor: Some of my friends have had debates about how good these skates look, and my opinion is that the Bont Vaypors are sweet. I could almost eat them. Don’t they look deliciously lickable? Kinda like me, hehe.

Colombia Nationals: A couple of reports/ sites with results (Rollerblade 1 & Rollerblade 2 and PatinCarrera 1 & PatinCarrera 2) from Colombia’s nationals- in case you’re confused, Colombia’s nationals includes 4 separate events that are open to non-Colombian skaters.

USA skaters Jonothan Garcia and Joey Mantia in front of Colombia skaters Jorge Botero and Nelson Garzon- 15km points/ elimination 2006 worlds championships in Anyang, Korea- interesting to note that these four skaters finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th
