Squiggy Pictures, Link, Fertre-Bertrand, Marathon Questions, Oval Finale

Squiggy Pictures: Click here for Jessica’s photos from last weekend’s Squiggy Inline Skate Marathon.

Link: South West Pacific Inline Speed League.

Fertre-Bertrand: Click here for a report and here for photos from the Fertre-Bertrand which took place under beautiful May-like sunny weather in Sarthe, France. The report is in French, but it does contain some photos and results. This race acts as a preparatory race for the upcoming Grand Fond. If you’re looking for even more good photos of the event, you can find some here from Roller Numerique.

Marathon Questions: The thread Marathon Questions for Dummies on Skatelog’s Forum contains some good advice if you’re someone who is inexperienced in inline skating marathons. The thread is long and there’s a whole bunch of different perspectives.

These guys are well versed in marathons

Oval Finale: The Oval Finale is taking place in Calgary as I type this. Click here for the results. From what I understand, the event pays out a whole lot of cash- I heard $25000 for senior and $4000 for junior records- to skaters who break world records. For you hardcore long track speed skating fans, Speed Skating World Online Magazine is covering the event with frequent updates.
