Short Track World Cup (Montreal) Day 1 Video and Photos
I had the opportunity to catch some of the short track action earlier today at arena Maurice Richard. I was pleased to find out that admission was free. There was barely anyone in the stands mostly because it’s a work day and the races are all preliminary races and heats.
First off, here’s my video- you’ll see Nick Guiding me to the food and then about 5-minutes worth of pretty good racing action.
It was a good opportunity to see only the athletes, because really the only people there were the skaters, coaches, officials, managers, some media, and security (cough cough). The biggest thing that stood out for me is how much bigger the guys look compared to the girls. The girls look tiny compared to the guys.
Catch all the action at Ohno Zone (day 1) and of course stay up-to-date with the results at Cyber Score Board.
