Video of a Fall, Scooters, & Montreal 24 Hours, CadoModus

Video of a Fall: At the Scooter's Indoor Speed Club practice a coule of days ago, I fell twice. Remember my post about falling? What I said in that post is 'It's happened to me where I fell and my first reaction was to look around to make sure that nobody noticed my fall. If someone did see me fall, I would then try to convince them that my fall really looked spectacular and amazing and skillful when in fact, I looked like a dork'. You can be the judge when viewing the video below.

My first fall was not cool at all. You see at Scooter's, the floor is b-r-u-t-a-l so we clean the floor with vinegar. When we started the warm-up, the apex of the first corner was still damp. Before the warm up, I looked at it and touched it and it felt fine, but when I skated over it, my wheels lost all traction during my push. I found myself sort of upside down with the pack scammering to get out of my way. Sigrid Ziegler was right behind me and she went down.

Later in the practice, we were doing 1-minute circle drills immediately followed by 300-meters hard. The 300's ended up being slower because our legs were 'dead' from the circles. If you want to see me crash, just press play on the video below (linked here).

More Scooter's Videos: You want to see more videos from Scooter's eh? Well you're in luck because Andrew Hegarty took the footage that he, Wayne Burrett, and I shot and made a couple of more videos. Click here to access the videos.

24 Hours Inline Montreal Video (and photos): Are you still thirsty for videos? Here's a sweet one from the 24 Hours Inline Montreal which took place earlier this summer. It gives you a pretty accurate picture of what the event is about. However, I'll always say that the video will NEVER replace the experience of being there. Come on! Go to the website and register (if registration is open). If video is not your thing, you can view some photos of the event (which my team won BTW). Here's an alternate link to the video.

CadoModus: The Inline Planet has a nice article on the emergence of CadoModus. I remember receiving an email from Diederik Hol earlier this year letting everone know that CadoModus will be starting up.
