6 Heures De Montlucon: Roller En Ligne has a report on the 6 heures de Montlucon (6 hours of Montlucon).

Kolomna Rink Picture: I really like the picture below of the rink in Kolomna from last weekend's long track world cup- the photo is by German long track skater Joerg Dallmann.

Rollerdome In The News: Minneapolis' Rollerdome was featured in the news on KARE. Click here for more (FYI- I am linking to this thanks to the Inline Planet). Click here for the video.

Modest Mouse's Missed The Boat: Modest Mouse has been one of my favourite bands for 5-some odd years now- I think the song Missed The Boat is fantastic- click here for one of the video versions of the song or check it out below.

In case you want to get into the band, here's a video of Satin in a coffin performed on Letterman- see below.

What I especially like about Modest Mouse is the connection with Johnny Marr who officially joined in 2006. In the early to mid 80's, Marr played guitar with the Smiths which were one of my absolute favourite bands starting in 1991. In high school, used to think I looked like Morrissey... I saw Morrissey perform a few times in Toronto. Here's a Johnny Marr video- Down On The Corner.

CAN Fund Plug: Here's another plug for the Canadian Athlete's Now Fund (CAN Fund); they say 'This Holiday Season Donate & Find Out Which Canadian Athlete you Supported! A tax receipt will be issued for donations'.

LT All Round: The long track all round world championships will take place in Berlin on February 10th- Skate Podium is letting us know that tickets are on sale starting today. Click here if you'd like to buy some tickets.

Ruud Aerts: Here is a Skate Podium article about Ruud Aerts and the outdoor and marathon long track scene.

WIC: Bill Begg updated the World Cup Topics for 2008 topic with some news from the men's site.
