Montreal Rollerblade Marathon Report
Montreal Rollerblade Marathon Report: The Montreal Rollerblade Marathon took place on the always-great Gilles Villeneuve F1 track earlier today in Montreal. Race organizers Robert Mitchell & VRL Le Club along with the help of Rollerblade came through with a very nice first year event.
Start of the 42km %& 21km
The weather forecast called for rain, but skaters were greeted to a beautiful but windy day. Plenty of skaters from Canada & beyond- some fast and some not-so-fast- showed up in support of the event. Much of the conversation before and after the races was that there was strong support and the racing was very good. Many of the skaters found some good sized packs and worked together to share the lead but also find shelter from the head-wind in the long straights.
Ed Leung- he raced with a hamburger/ sandwich and a juice box! He is hard core!
