This Weekend, Love's Stouwdam Drool, Cado Motus' Worlds Part 8, Ask Bill Begg! The Next Level & Stride Rate

This Weekend: The summer vacation & break is over and many school teachers are relectantly back at work. The 2007-2008 school year began for me last Tuesday. It will only end in June!

This year, I am teaching music, french, art, drama, and computers to grades ranging from kindergarten to grade 5. It's already been a pretty interesting year , espcically in my kindergarten classes. I've had some cryers, some panickers, some freak-outers, and pee-on-the-floorers, and some catatonic-ers.

The start of this school year coincides with the end of my 2007 season. I am on a compelte do-nothing-but-rest-and-work break until Duluth. I think that's a good thing because it gives me time to settle into the chaos that has been the start of the school year.

With the no spare-time that I have, I am trying to get a few things done such as putting up my videos from worlds on Bont TV. What I will find time for is driving to Montreal later today and taking pictures and videos of the Rollerblade Montreal Marathon early tomorrow morning.

After the marathon, I will head to St-Tite, a small town about a 1 1/2 hour drive east of Montreal, deep in the Quebec townships. St-Tite is my mother's hometown with a population of about 5000. St Tite's population will balloon up to over 100 thousand people over the next week and a bit thanks to the Festival Western. The Festival Western is a rodeo/ cowboy/ western style week-long adventure filled with music, beer, costumes, cowboy hats, and beer! Kenny Rogers, the famous country singer, will play a show there in a few days. Singers like Celine Dion and Johnny Cash have graced the Festival Western in years past.

Love's Stouwdam Drool: Andrew Love is writing about his European experience on his website ZATAOSS. His latest entry Stouwdam Drool includes a couple of pictures of tons and tons of skates! I don't have time to count how many ice LT & inline skates there are because I have to get back to work. Maybe you can count them?

The thing that we have to look forward to on ZATAOSS is this; 'I’m posting this while I work on a MASSIVE post; I just experienced a private tour of the Viking factory! It was amazing, and I really want to do justice to what I saw'. I hope he posted it by now, hold on, let me check...

...nope, the post is not up yet...grrr. Maybe it's on now...hold on, I'll be back...

dammit, it's not posted yet...

Forget counting the skates, let's just say there are plenty! Photo from Zen And The Art Of Speed Skating

Cado Motus' Worlds Part 8: Autralia's Michael Byrne continues to share his world championships experience in Cali World Championships – Part 8 - My Story- Over before it Began?.

While you're at it, if you want, you can check out Gavin Pollock's world championships pictures.

I'm more on the 'trying-to-figure-out-how-I'm-getting-out-of-this-situation' type person!
