Quick Update, ...A New Car (Zurich)!, Big Granite
Quik Update: Good morning everyone, it's a beautiful Sunday here in Mississauga. It's father's day- happy papaw's day to all the papaw's out there, especially to my brother who's son Sebastien celebrated his 6th month on earth recently.
Ollie and Sebbie- the caption on SPD reads 'If only couches were big enough for adults to share them like this...'
Anyways, I've got another jam-packed day today, filled with training, BBQ-ing something- probably chicken, walking around my neighbourhood, annoying my cats, and playing guitar. I'll try to squeeze another SSW entry this evening. For now, below are a few things that I thought you would appreciate that I put up.
...A New Car (Zurich)!: In the spirit of Bob Barker & The Price Is Right and also Dane Cook and his skit about TPIR (it's funny, he talks about how he thinks the big wheel is filled with blood), I am pleased to announce that USA's Joey Mantia and Italy's Giovianna Turcherelli have each won a new car after winning the Zurich WIC about an hour ago. You can check out Team Rollerblade live account, some blow-by-blow action of the race.
How cool it must be to win a car! I wonder where Joey Mantia is going to drive his car to. Actually, I wonder how he's going to bring it back to the USA. In his skate bag? I'm sure he's got a lot of wheels that he can send my way to make room for his car in his wheel bag... or even better yet, maybe he can fill his car up with wheels and use the car as a wheel carrier. He can bring wheels to me if he likes, I won't mind... ok, enough sillyness. On with a few results-
Actually I have one serious question; do top skaters really have wheel bags? Like a whole bag that when they travel, it contains only wheels? Do those things really exist?
