ST Jr Worlds: The short track junior worlds are under way in Italy- click here for all of the results. You can find lots to read about the competition thanks to Skylar McKormick's blog- here's a glimpse of what she has written so far; 'The surprises of the day were Kristie from GB who not only made the final, but got a silver! All of the Korean girls either fell or got DQed as well as one of their boys. So that mixed up the overall points a bit. And in the boys, a new record was set by the Korean Han-Bin by a time of 0:42.1. CRAZY FAST! At lunch, we sat down at talked with the Great Britain skaters, which was very exciting to talk to English people once again. We talked about how chips are french fries and then well what are chips? They are Crisps. And cookies are only with chocolate chips. the rest are biscuits'.

Masters On Ice: First off, check out Ross Hanham's blog; Masters Speed Skating News. Andrew Love has posted a video of masters skating in Milwaukee in a recent entry called Masters in Milwaulkee- you'll get to see Ross Hanham at the end of the video- see the video Milwaukee Masters Skating.

More Mexico: Andrew Love posted another entry about Mexico- see Mexico City’s Mayor. I love the last line about Andrew in the Olympics!

Why A Rolling Start?: Why A Rolling Start? That's a good question. Cartainly anytime that I've competed and my time was based from a rolling start, I felt some sort of frustration- I felt like it wasn't a time that truly reflected how quickly (or slowly) I completed the race.

I remember some 10-years ago or so, there was some huge argument about which commant skaters should start- should we start on the gun? Should we start on the 'ah' of 'attention'?

Mr Pauley: Mister Pauley was recently featured in Pattinaggio Bellusco's news section- the picture comes from Andrew Hegarty's Indoor Pics - Pt 1. Looking good Mister P!

Back Pain: The latest of the Inline Planet Skate Tips is called Banish Back Pain.

Begg Sponsorship: Here's a good article for you; Speedskating Individual Sponsorship - Nicole Begg- there's lots written in this one- 'Being in a minor sport & creating a high public profile is not easy. You need to cultivate some media friendly people to your sport, supply them with regular stories & quality photo's'.

'...A nice shot of Nicole skating beside the car, with the sponsor driving, her name, his name & Kia all clearly visible,on the main sportspage of the Timaru Herald, then Nicole doing the car up, for an Ocean theme for the Christmas Santa Claus parade through the main street of Timaru with Nicole & Tina skating beside the car gave the sponsor great coverage'

Trans USA News: Here's an update on Danny Daniels' quest to skate from one side of the USA to the other; 'We made Tucson. I am about to cross with the guidance of my friend Ed 'Fast Eddy' Wachter'- read more here. What I want to update you on is this; in Danny, Trans-US Skate, it's written 'In two days, we've raised $600 for Danny, and that's just whats funnelling through me. On behalf of Danny and Hillary, THANK YOU'.
