Cheex's Unevolution, 2008 WIC News, Hegarty's Indoor Pics - Pt 1, Links With Content, Trans-USA Record Attemps Update, Training & News

Cheex's Unevolution: Michael Cheek is a very fast skater from the USA- I've been waiting for him to post something on his blog- Cheex Skating Blog- along the lines of his most recent entry called Unevolution. It's a good post with good questions and points; he says 'With all the changes we've made in the last 20 or so years, why do we skate indoor on a track that was designed to be skated on quads??? I know a lot of people that have been in this sport for a long time will say there's no need to change. But what a lot of people in this sport don't realize is that the top guys in the sport don't sprint. They can't. The track we skate on doesn't allow you to go at a full sprint...'.

2008 WIC News: For the next few links, if you can't read French, you might want to use a translation website like Babel Fish Translation.

There is plenty of news from the World Inline Cup front; Roller En Ligne has kindly puslibhed a 2008 WIC Calendar- another calendar with WIC events can be found here.

According to Roller En Ligne, the Iguana Think Tank (the brains and driving force behind the WIC) is looking to fill a senior Marketing & Sales position.

Finally, REL is reporting that the European WIC races will be broadcast on the internet and on television.

Hegarty's Indoor Pics - Pt 1: Andrew Hegarty posted some very nicely touched-up indoor skating photos in Indoor Pics - Pt 1.

Links With Content: A few links for you to have fun clicking around in; Orana Dynamics- and they have announced their 2008 line-up, including Belgium's Bart Swings.

Here's another link; Schaatspeloton.nl- and this site's got some sweet pictures from the Netherlands Marathon Championships from last weekend- Schaatspeloton.nl">check out the pics.

Last newlink for today; Edge Tek Racing.

Trans-USA Record Attemps Update: Danny Dannels has started his trans-USA record attempt- you can read an article from the Inline Planet; it's called Skater Finishes First Leg of Trans-USA Journey. You can read about what's going on in Record attempt. If you'd like to check out his MySpace page, well click the link from a few words ago.

Training & News: I'd like to make sure that people are aware that the website Training & News is posting updates on a fairly regular basis. The site often covers the same material that my site, except in a language that I can't read. Thanks to the post No More..., we can see Renee Hildebrand's latest post in her blog.
